JPS Urgent Care is open on the weekdays from 7 am to 11 pm and on the weekends from 7 am to 8 pm.

JPS Hospital is a teaching/county facility that serves as the only level 1 trauma center for Tarrant County, as well as a comprehensive level 1 stroke center, that encompasses a population of approximately 2.5 million and the surrounding 200 mile radius area.

Emergency Department

    • UCED Beds: 30
  • Shift Coverage:
    •  APP:
      • 9 & 10-hour shifts
      • 49 hours of coverage during the weekday 
      • 30 hours of coverage on the weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Department practice experience, post-graduation as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Texas medical license and DEA certification


  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with company match, $2,500 CME/Business Expense Reimbursement
  • Occurrence-based malpractice coverage
  • Compensation model consists of a base hourly rate plus productivity and quality service performance pay
