ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Join us for the IES Clinical Integration Forum on the topic of Chronic and Acute Abdominal Pain. This virtual education opportunity will include presentations on new data and evidence-based practices that focus on improving positive patient outcomes by reducing the variation of care for chronic and acute abdominal pain. The discussion topics will include current best practices in evaluating and managing abdominal pain, emphasizing patients who recurrently present in the Emergency Department with a chief complaint of abdominal pain.


VIRTUAL EDUCATION

We are pleased to announce that physicians and APPs will have the option to attend this virtual education from the comfort of their own home or at any other location of their choosing.

All registered attendees will receive an email notification 24 hours before the IES Clinical Integration Forum begins, which will include a GoToWebinar link to view the live education. Lectures begin promptly at 3:00PM, please log in 15-20 minutes before the lecture start time to ensure a good connection for the presentation. Early arrival to this virtual education event will allow sufficient time to troubleshoot any technical issues with audio or visual that may occur.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss treatment strategies that decrease return visits to the Emergency Department with a chief complaint of abdominal pain.
  • Identity the discriminating factors to determine the specific imaging needs.
  • Describe acute pain management utilizing multi-modal therapy or conventional opioid-based therapy.
