ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Join us for the IES Critical Procedures Course, led by Elizabeth Fagan, MD, FACEP, Director of Education at IES, and Emergency Department Medical Director at BSWH – McKinney. This comprehensive, hands-on course is designed to ensure that IES physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) maintain proficiencies in high-risk/low-frequency critical procedures.
Three identical session times will be offered on different days in Dallas and Houston to allow physicians and APPs to select the most convenient time to attend.
- Demonstrate the importance of incorporating a checklist in central line insertion procedures.
- Perform advanced airway procedures with the use of equipment available in your routine working environment.
- Justify the value and utilization of ultrasound for peripheral IV access.
- Perform all aspects of high-risk procedures encountered infrequently.
