IES, Integrative Emergency Services, is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead our established group at Andalusia Health, Andalusia AL.
Andalusia Health is an 88-bed acute care facility that has served the heart of South Alabama since 1966. Andalusia Health is also accredited by the Joint Commission. Andalusia Health offers a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic, emergency, and surgical services. Comprehensive Cancer Care is available on Andalusia Health’s Campus with services provided by 21st Century Oncology offering Radiation Oncology and Sacred Heart Oncology offering Chemotherapy and infusion services.
Emergency Department:
- Annual Visits: 19,000
- EMR: Medhost
- Physician: 7a-7p; 7p-7a
- APP: 11am to 9pm
- 9 ED beds
Medical Director Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
- Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
- Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
- Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
- Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
- Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership
