Boone County Emergency Medicine (BCEM) is an independent democratic Physician group that provides Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) services for Emergency Departments in the Indianapolis Metro area. The group is growing and is in search of qualified PA candidates to work alongside a group of Board-Certified Emergency Physicians and an outstanding group of Advanced Practice Providers.

Preceptorship opportunities with the Butler University and Franklin College PA programs are also available for those with an interest in PA education.

Emergency Department:

Witham Health Services

·        56 bed community hospital, 14-bed ED

·        17,000 annual volume

·        7-9 hour shifts with 12 hours of APP coverage daily

o  24 hrs of physician coverage/day

·        Meditech EMR


Major Hospital

·        70 bed community hospital, 25-bed ED

·        25,000 annual volume

·        7-9 hour shifts with 24-34 hours of APP coverage daily

o  24-34 hrs of physician coverage/day

·        Meditech EMR 

 

Johnson Memorial Hospital

·        40 bed community hospital, 22-bed ED

·        24,000 annual volume

·        7-9 hour shifts with 24-34 hours of APP coverage daily

o  24-34 hrs of physician coverage/day

·        Cerner EMR

  • PA candidates with Emergency Department experience are preferred, and CAQ in Emergency Medicine is a valued benefit.
  • New/recent graduates who have a strong interest in Emergency Medicine and have performed well on Emergency Medicine rotations are also welcome to apply.
