St. Luke’s Health-Memorial San Augustine Hospital is an 18-bed, fully accredited medical facility that is designated as the area’s only certified critical care access hospital. The emergency room is dedicated to providing comprehensive emergency services for all types of acute injuries or illnesses.
St. Luke’s Health-Memorial San Augustine’s emergency room offers an experienced and talented staff of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who have some of the most modern medical technology at their fingertips, including:
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- CT (Computed Tomography)
- X-Ray
- Ultrasound
- Digital Mammography
- Bone Density Testing
- Electronic PACs System that allows clinicians to view diagnostic test results of a patient securely from anywhere around the world
Working in close connection with St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Lufkin, telemedicine allows Lufkin radiologists to interpret tests that have been sent electronically from the San Augustine facility 24/7.
Additionally, PHI Air Medical Service partners with St. Luke’s Health-Memorial San Augustine to transfer patients in need of a higher level of emergency services.

Required Qualifications
- Candidate must have at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience post-graduation to be considered.
- Critical access ED experience preferred
- Advanced Critical/ Airway procedure skills required
- Active ATLS certification
- Active Texas medical license and DEA
