Practice Management

By providing expert management and oversight of nonclinical functions, IES gives practices the confidence and assurance they need to focus their attention on patient care. Free of nonclinical distractions, practices can focus on triaging patients successfully through the ED.

While leveraging IES’s program, practices are able to preserve and maintain their independent cultures. They are not required to conform to a certain external process; by design, IES is able to customize its approach so that it works best for each individual practice. Our healthcare recruitment team has decades of experience in successfully recruiting and retaining providers. For participating groups, our recruiters plan, coordinate and direct all activities for the recruitment and hiring of emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers. Our team advises and collaborates with our client partners regarding hiring strategies and retention planning and provides a positive experience for candidates throughout the entire recruitment and hiring process. Employing a myriad of techniques to locate and vet out the most qualified prospects, we are proud that our participating groups are 99% recruited.


The credentialing team ensures that the practitioners contracted with our participating groups both meet all requirements necessary to obtain privileges at the hospital facilities we service and that they maintain credentialing standards for continued participation. Our team conducts primary source verification of licensure and work history and ensures applicable licensure and merit badges remain current throughout employment. We also collaborate with hospital medical staff coordinators to secure privileges for our providers.


Our enrollment team makes sure that documents required for timely enrollment in all government and commercial plans are received and processed in a timely manner. We work with providers and recruiters to transmit enrollment documentation with applicable payers. Our team also coordinates with the facility during client transitions to capture relevant provider information.

Human Resources

Our dedicated human resources team:

  • Supports providers through life events by performing verification of employment, insurance verifications, benefits, enrollment assistance, retirement account changes, payroll deduction assistance, employee assistance programs, and benefits/claims explanations.
  • Monitors OIG and EPLS exclusion lists and ensures drug screens and background checks are conducted.
  • Performs onboarding, payroll adjudication, compliance training and performance management under one software system while maintaining employee data integrity.
  • Provides coaching and support to all leaders on performance management through consultations and annual reviews.

Accounting & Finance

We provide full-service accounting and financial management including accounts payable and vendor management, accounts receivable and expense reimbursement administration. Our financial management concentrates on four areas: contract management, payroll/benefits, practice intelligence and professional liability.

Data Analytics

To promote practice intelligence, we measure performance using a robust data analytics platform which can be applied to ED networks, stand-alone emergency facilities and individual physicians/APPs. The quality and operational data reporting allows physician leaders to fine-tune their practices using key measurements such as clinical quality and resource utilization, patient satisfaction, throughput and flow, specialized programs such as sepsis protocols, and more. The clinical analytics are customized to report on a physician-level basis across: clinical quality, operations and throughput, patient satisfaction, compliance and credentials, and revenue cycle.
